Structure of Celvin®
Celvin® is brilliantly constructed: Contrasting to other common camera-based sytems the sample is positioned above the camera, as you can see in Figure.
The handling is very easy: Open the lid and see the glass plate which is the medium for the blot. Apply a little bit of substrate solution on the glass plate and lay the blot “face down” on it. The camera is positioned below the glass plate. Due to the prime lense, there is always an optimal distance between the object and the detector chip in the camera resulting in sharp images and high light efficiency. The maximum imaging area is 14 x 14cm and therefore suitable for most Western Blots. Close the lid. It ensures totally darkness without disturbing stray light. Use the touch-screen to start the measurement according to the parameters prior set. That’s all!
